How long is the waiting list to see the doctor?

Patient's are scheduled in the first appointment slot available with their preferred doctor. They are informed that we have a waiting list that we pull from to get them in sooner if we have a cancellation. We also instruct the patient/guardian that, if they complete CliniCom, this will make the accelerate the process.

What type of insurance is accepted by our practice?

We accept most insurances if your preferred provider is in network. We do accept : Alabama Medicaid, Tricare, Blue Cross, Cigna, United Health Care, Medicare, Champ VA and Humana. You may have to call your insurance company to make sure that we are a participating provider.

It depends on the doctor. Our range of patient's is from 4-75 years old.

What is the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist?

When should a doctor consider prescribing medication?

When the patient has significant difficulty functioning and/or he/she is a danger to self or others.

How long should I expect to visit with the psychiatrist?

Initial evaluations last approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Follow up visits can last from 15 to 20 minutes.

How long should visits for testing and therapy last?

Testing can last 1-3 hours and therapy should last 45 minutes per session.
